The list of artists he has worked with reads like a who’s who of the folk community. He has been instrumental in developing the careers of John Gorka, Ani DiFranco, Dar Williams, Dala, Patty Larkin, Garnet Rogers to name just a few, and has worked with Richie Havens, Peter Yarrow ( of Peter, Paul and Mary), Stan Rogers, Kate Wolf, Utah Phillips and many, many others. The recipient of the Folk Alliance Midwest Lifetime achievement award, he will talk about and answer your questions concerning booking, getting an agent..or not, record companies, making a management plan….just what is management anyways…opportunities, pitfalls, your press kit: whatever you would like. He is also a highly resected songwriter/performer with Mustard’s Retreat, which is now in its 38th year of touring.

He serves on the advisory board of several organizations: The Ark (the nationally recognized concert hall in Ann Arbor), Singout! Magazine ( others on the board include Pete Seeger, Bonnie Raitt, Graham Nash, among others), The Saturday Light Brigade, an award winning and internationally recognized family radio show based in Pittsburgh, PA, The Eighth Step Center for the Performing Arts in Albany NY, and was a founding member of the National Folk Alliance.
